Help Jake Fight Cancer, Support His Family

My name is Jason “Jake” Bernhardt. I have been diagnosed with rectal cancer, stage 3. I am fortunate that it is localized and is responding to chemotherapy.

I am an independent electrical contractor in Gering Nebraska. I have 0 employees and stick to one man jobs. I have been in business since 2017 and have enjoyed success on so many levels. Unfortunately I have not been able to save massive amounts of money. We have a little savings and my wife is working two jobs to help out. I am mostly concerned that I will only be working 2 weeks per month while receiving chemo. Then I have surgery that will require a month of recovery. Then I have 3 more months of chemo. We do have insurance, but as we all know we will be required to cover a portion of the cost.

I have never had to ask for help outside of my amazing friends and family. I am only doing this because I am helpless and watching my family suffer and stress about our future. I am selling anything that isn’t essential. Camper boat etc.
