Help Jake During His Recovery

I don’t know about you, but I am proud to know a guy named Jacob Levine. Not only did he get shot three times while playing Ping Pong in Portland’s Pearl District. (He is one scary ping pong player.) BUT he got 8 bullet holes to show for those three bullets.
Some of you may know him as the guy is always down for a laugh and a good time. Some because he knows when to listen, care and empathize with his fellows. You may remember him as the goofy guy careening down a ski hill on a snowboard. Or as the guy who loves video games, gaming or even just board games. He loves people and goes out of his way to help out his fellow human.
I know him because when I started dating my husband he was the first who welcomed me to their crazy family and made me feel like I had a genuine friend.
On Friday, September 24th, 2021 Jake was minding his own business and enjoying himself before a day off and a fun weekend. He was at Silver Dollar Pizza with friends when a drive by shooter decided that Jake’s life and the rest of the lives there was worth nothing to them by opening fire into the pizzeria. There is still a lot we don’t know about the cause, but the effect was devastating.
Police are still investigating what happened. You can see the one of the news story here: https://www.kptv.com/news/police-investigating-deadly-shooting-near-nw-portland-bar/article_4d4e1cc4-1d3c-11ec-8dac-57b913920a48.html
Jake luckily just got hired by Intel, but like most humans has bills to pay. Some of the bullet wounds are going to make it difficult for Jake to work. He is going to need rehab and time to heal. During that time he has to keep up on his apartment lease, pay his student loan debt, eat and get better.
We all know it’s easier to heal when you don’t have stress. Financial stress is not what Jake needs right now and I hope you’ll give a little so that during the next few months of recuperation he can focus on that.
All donations will go straight to Jacob Levine.
