Help Jake Crockett
On April 2nd, Jake Crockett was diagnosed with Covid. On April 10th, he was hospitalized in Novi, Mi and was put on a ventilator. After 2 weeks on life support with the Novi hospital exhausting all of their available options, it was recommended that Jake be moved to the U of M for more advanced treatment which was only available at the U of M. His family was told there were no rooms at the U of M medical center. After a prayer vigil, miraculously a room became available and Jake was airlifted to the University of Michigan medical center.
Jake was placed in an induced coma at the U of M and remained in that condition for over 2 months in an attempt to let his lungs heal. He was also given a Tracheotomy. The U of M staff had little hope of his recovery because his other organs started to show wear, but his family and friends raised him up in prayer. On August 10, Jake will have been in the hospital for 4 months. His recovery while slow, and not without complications is a miracle. His recovery remains in progress and we are hopeful he will fully recover.
Today, Jake is still in the hospital. His family is visiting him every day, driving from Milford to Ann Arbor. They are waiting for Jake to heal enough so he can start rehabilitation. As you can imagine his medical bills and incidental costs are overwhelming. We are asking that for help covering expenses.
