Our father, Jaime Lozano has always been a strong and independent person. Even after reaching the age of 72 years old, he was very proud at his ability to hold a full time job while being in good health; working full time brought him a lot of joy. While working in Texas delivering material to the oil fields, he suffered a sever fall from his semi truck cabin. This happened on February 13, 2021.
The conditions in the region where he fell were very poor. There was a sever winter storm and a lot of ice in the entire region. The fall was so severe that he was left unconscious for a few minutes until someone found him and called emergency services.
Because of the fall he suffered mild hypothermia, a fractured skull and a severe concussion. Once he was admitted to the hospital the neurologist also found that he had bleeding in the brain due to the fall.
He was admitted to Midland Memorial Hospital and spent three weeks in the ICU while they worked on stabilizing his vitals and controlling the bleeding on the brain. Once his vital stabilized, he was transferred to Mabee Health Care Center for therapy and rehabilitation to help him regain his abilities such as walking, talking and self care as best as possible. He has made remarkable progress! He is a fighter!
While he continues to recuperate we know and understand that he will need to continue to receive treatment and therapy throughout his journey back to normalcy. His family, loved ones and friends want him back in Los Angeles, California to continue his journey to recovery . We are grateful for any assistance or support that you can provide. Nuestro papa, Jaime Lozano siempre a sido una persona que a disfrutado de su independencia y de la habilidad de poder trabajar hasta sus 72 años de edad. El trabajar de tiempo completo le causaba alegría. El 13 de febrero del 2021 (día de su cumpleaños) resbaló y callo de la cabina de un camión semi. Mientras alguien le encontraba para auxiliarlo, el clima extremo de esa mañana le causo principios de hipotermia, también tuvo una fractura en el cráneo, una contusión y un poco de hemorragia cerebral.
Fue admitido al hospital Midland Memorial en Texas; ahí duro tres semanas tratando de normalizar sus signos vitales; después de eso fue transferido a un centro de rehabilitación llamado Mabee Health Care Center donde se encuentra recibiendo varios tipos de terapia para que pueda recuperar sus habilidades básicas como el caminar y comer. Tiene muchos deseos de recuperarse.
A estado recuperándose, pero sabemos que aun dado de alta tendrá que continuar recibiendo cuidado, tratamiento medico y diferentes tipos de terapia para llegar a un nivel de habilidad tan normal come le sea posible. Su familia, amigos y seres queridos lo queremos de regreso en Los Ángeles, California para apoyarlo en su recuperación. Cualquier apoyo o donación que usted pueda brindar para esta causa es agradecida. Yo se que podemos lograr esta meta unidos. Gracias
