Help Jaielle’s Journei with DIPG

Hello my name is Jaielle Journei. I’m a loving little girl who is the middle child of 3 sisters so as you can tell, they both need me very much. I like to dance, color and paint! I also love to play with my sisters and watch movies with them. When I was 2 weeks old, my daddy was murdered in a senseless act of violence and my mommy has been very over protective and loving towards me ever since. This is why in early October, mommy noticed I was stumbling off balance, falling a lot, drooling, and not smiling as much even when I was playing with my sisters. Mommy took me to the emergency room on October 18th just to make sure I was okay, and that’s when they told her that I had a tumor. Once we found out I had a tumor, I was transferred to Duke hospital where they now told my mommy that there would be no cure and no option to operate. Mommy didn’t take that as the final answer so we got a biopsy which then confirmed that I have DIPG. DIPG is a deadly brain tumor that only has a survival rate of 1%. It’s located in your pons area in the brain which controls your breathing, walking, talking. Mommy still refuses to take this as the final answer, so we will be traveling to take part in different clinical trials to see what my best option will be. My older sister needs me because we both lost our father together, and my baby sister is only 10 months and needs me as her big sister. With the help of the Lord, we are determined to beat DIPG. The exact amount of money of treatment I will need is unknown at this time, we just know it will be costly. Although we have health insurance, many promising cancer treatments are not covered. As I fight my battle against DIPG, the last thing my family and I want to worry about is whether we can pay for treatment or not.
