Help Jaicia Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Hi everyone, Jaicia here. As you may have seen, unfortunately, I was in a devastating fire at my Woodstock apartment the night of November 12th. I am immensely grateful I was able to walk away unscathed, sadly- I lost absolutely everything. All of my sentimental values, clothes, electronics, bed, mattress- absolutely anything you can think of. To my surprise, I did not have renters insurance at the time because of a miscommunication- I thought it was included in my rent, turns out this was not the case. I am unable to work for about the next week given the situation, being a server, a week out of work really adds up. This has been an extremely overwhelming circumstance, given in the recent weeks I have already been grieving the death of my father and dear partner. They say, “when it rains, it pours”, and I am feeling this to the full extent. However, I will not let these trials deter me from continuing on my journey. I am humbly seeking assistance with recovering some of the lost value from my home fire - which will allow me to get back on my feet quicker, as I am in a very tough situation. I am forever grateful for my family, friends, and strangers who donate in support of my home recovery- anything helps. All funds would go directly to purchasing new furniture, clothes, other home items and a temporary storage unit. In addition, with some proceeds going to securing a new home. Again, I deeply appreciate your positive thoughts and support during this hardship. - Jaicia
