“Our little six-year old princess, Jahzel Pascua needs your help.  Jahzel enjoys playing with her friends, going to school, and spending time with family.  She is the sweetest little girl and normally very playful and energetic. 

 A few months ago, Jahzel developed rashes on her face and entire body.  On August 25th she was admitted to the ER.  We were told by the physician that we should wait it out in hopes that the rash would go away. Two weeks later, her condition worsened.  She developed blisters around her mouth and suffered from an ongoing fever which landed her in the ER for the 2nd time.  This time, numerous blood tests and biopsies were done in hopes of finding a diagnosis. 

 A few weeks went by, and Jahzel was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus also is known as LUPUS.  Since then, Jahzel has been very fatigued, experiencing a lot of joint pain, and suffering from skin bleeds.  Jahzel has been prescribed with a variety of strong, conventional medication such as steroids, antibiotics, and topical creams.  The side effects of these types of medications may take its toll on our little princess at a very young age.

Unable to attend school and avoiding direct sunlight,Jahzel has been home since September, bearing with this painful and uncomfortable situation.  It’s not only physical but has also taken a mental toll on her and her self-esteem.  A child should never have to experience conditions like these growing up, but she is, and it saddens us to see her struggle and in pain.

Jahzel needs our care 24/7, therefore we have been unable to commit to our work schedules.  We are seeking help in assistance to rid Jahzel of the disease so that she can get back to be a little girl and enjoying her life.  In trying times for everyone, it’s difficult to ask for assistance, but all we want in this world right now is to see my energetic, playful and joyful daughter become healthy again!
