Help Jahnavi and Galen tour in the UK

My name is Jahnavi Veronica, and we are fundraising to travel to the UK for a music tour in May! (update: the May tour date is being postponed/rescheduled, due to health-tending needs.)

My partner Galen Hefferman and I have been playing music together since 2018, and have been touring with our music through the Pacific Northwest ever since.

In the Autumn of 2022, we were lucky enough to travel to the UK and Ireland to join a friend for his small speaking tour, meet some of our ancestral places, learn music and share songs when we were invited. It was a deeply life-changing experience to be there, meet the land and old sacred wells and stones, as well as meet new human friends.

Since then, Galen and I have held the intention to return someday, but an opportunity jumped up sooner than we expected...

This is a dream to return to these places, and sharing our music along the way feels like an opportunity we need to say yes to.

So - I'm saying yes, and we need some help to get there!

In the meantime, we are working as much as we can outside of what we do as full-time self-employed musicians and will be filling in for the trip with the money we are earning.

At this moment, we are not making enough money to fund this trip.

We do really need help so that we can purchase plane tickets before the prices go up more.

Our minimum goal to secure our plane tickets there is around $1000.

Of course, this is not an urgent situation, and I encourage those of you reading this to only contribute if it feels good to you to support what we are doing, and have extra to spare!

Galen and I have both continued to receive the messages and signs and encouragement that sharing our music is one of the most important things that we could be doing with our lives.

For those of you who are new to my and Galen's music -

We weave our songs together as a duo, with harmonies, guitar, cello, drum and oud (and sometimes more). Our songs explore themes of death, the natural world, grief and love in times of ecological catastrophe, ancestry, and the timelessness of song and beauty.

Our music carries prayers and hope for the living Earth as paramount. We seek to create songs that can be a balm for challenging times, to transform and revive, and to open to a full-hearted life, twisting the fibers of the dream world and the living world into one, speaking from the underground rivers that feed the springs that jump forth from wild willed places.
