We are heartbroken to announce the tragic loss of Jignesh Patel and his incredible daughter, Priyanshi, who passed away while trekking in Nepal's Annapurna region.

Jigneshbhai was a cherished member of our community in Kadod: a dedicated teacher, passionate hiker, committed environmental activist, and lifelong social worker. His 17-year-old daughter, Priyanshi, was a bright, vibrant young student with a promising future.

They were doing what they loved when they were caught in a tragic incident near the Annapurna 3 summit. After an extensive search by Indian and Nepalese teams, their remains were found at 23,500 feet.

An Unimaginable Loss

The loss is devastating. For Jagrutiben (wife and mother) and her mother-in-law, their entire world was shattered in an instant. They have not only lost their husband and daughter but also the primary source of emotional and financial support for their family. Our small village of Kadod is grieving the void left by these two wonderful souls.
