For all those who don't know our lover guy Jager. He is a gentle, loving 11ish-year-old rescue dog who has always made everyone feel welcomed, loved and cherished. A couple days ago (6/22/25), we noticed he was limping, and after a visit to the vet (6/24/25), we received heartbreaking worst case scenario news: Jager has bone cancer. The cancer is in his right front leg. It has already weakened his humerus, causing a fracture, and he is scheduled for an amputation tomorrow to give him the best chance at a longer, pain-free life.

Jager’s best friend and human, Drew, is doing everything possible to support him through this difficult journey. As a large dog weighing 90 pounds, Jager will need a specialized wheelchair to help him move around safely after his surgery. This wheelchair will not only restore his mobility but also give him the chance to enjoy more time with his loved ones, exploring the world and sharing his gentle spirit.

By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help Jager regain his independence and ease the burden on Drew during a challenging time. Every contribution will go directly toward Jager’s wheelchair, medical bills, and the care he needs to continue spreading love and joy to everyone he meets.

In addition to the cost of the wheelchair, there are medical bills and ongoing care expenses that have created big feelings of loss, as we were recently stiffed on a $40,000 + bill that a "rescue" racked up after abandoning 4 dogs with specialized needs in our care for over a year. (December 2023 - January 2025)

Despite hard times, Drew has continued to selflessly open his home and heart to all of the dogs that enter our life and I would love to be able to ease the financial burden at this time for him. Thank you in advance from all of us.
