My name is Shervin Ahooraei and I am raising funds for one of my dear friends/contractor, Jafarie, who was deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. I briefly got to chat with him online days after the storm hit while he was using public WiFi. Fortunately, he and his family (2 kids, spouse, and mother) are okay, but his house and belongings are a total mess. I am starting this page in order to raise funds so that Jafarie can make needed repairs to his house and also replace belongings. I appreciate any and all support.

I, Shervin Ahooraei, am located in the United States and raising these funds on behalf of Jafarie. Jafarie is not a family member but a contractor who works for my company (BlueBird Simulations LLC). 100% of the donation (after the GoFundMe fees) will go straight to Jafarie. Since he is located in Jamaica, which is not a supported country of GoFundMe, the donations will be transferred to my personal (not corporate) bank account and then sent via PayPal to Jafarie (I will cover the PayPal fees). Proof of transfer will be provided.

For the 10k USD, the plans are as follows on how the money will be spent. This is just an estimate and none of these numbers are exact.

5k USD for repairs to the roof, windows, walls, and floors

2k USD for replacing the couch, mattress, clothes, shoes, bedding

2k for replacement of damaged appliances/electronics such as stove, refrigerator, TV

1k for food, supplies for kids, water, medicine, and other miscellaneous supplies.
