My name is Jaemere, and I’m reaching out for help after a very difficult year. In November 2024, I became seriously ill, and by March 2025, my condition had gotten so much worse that I needed emergency surgery to save my life. Since then, I’ve been in and out of the hospital with stage D heart failure, and now I have an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) to help my heart function. Adjusting to life with an LVAD has been a huge change, and every day brings new challenges.

Because of my health, I haven’t been able to work, and my application for disability was denied. It’s just me and my mom, and we’re doing our best to get by, but the costs of medications, co-pays, and daily living expenses are adding up quickly. Every day is a challenge, but I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward and stay hopeful.
