Help Jaelyn Return to Cal Poly Humboldt
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jaelyn, and I’m a third-year student at Cal Poly Humboldt, majoring in Child Development Elementary Education. I'm working hard toward my dream of becoming a teacher, and I’m reaching out today because I need help getting back to school this fall.
This summer, while traveling home from campus, my car's motor unexpectedly gave out, leaving me stranded on the 101 freeway. Thankfully, I was able to get home safely using a U-Haul using the last of what I had and have since secured a vehicle.
I’ve spent the summer applying for jobs to cover my expenses, but the job market in my area has been difficult, and I haven’t been able to earn enough to fund the trip back or prepare for the upcoming semester.
Your support would go toward essential travel expenses—gas, a hotel stay, and basic supplies like hygiene and school essentials—to help me return to campus and continue my education.
I’m deeply committed to becoming an educator and giving back to future generations. Any amount, big or small, brings me one step closer to achieving that goal. If you're not able to donate, sharing my story would also mean the world to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your support on my journey.
With gratitude,
Jaelyn
