Jaelyn is in her final two semesters at college, working hard to earn her degree in exercise science. She has always been determined and passionate about helping others, especially after her own experience recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus during her freshman year of high school basketball. The care and encouragement she received from her physical therapist inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy, so she can make a difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.

Recently, changes in her college’s administration and policies have led to a significant increase in tuition. Even with FAFSA, grants, and loans, Jaelyn still owes a substantial balance each semester. Without paying this balance, she won’t be able to receive her transcript or graduate, and she may have to return home without completing her degree. This is a heartbreaking situation for our family, as Jaelyn is our first child to come this close to graduating from an HBCU, and we want nothing more than to see her achieve her dreams.
