Hi, my name is Jae’la Johnson.
I was recently forced to leave my parents’ home for my own safety due to ongoing abuse. I’ve been the main target of both my father and older brother—both much bigger and stronger than me—and the physical, mental, and emotional abuse has taken a serious toll on me as a whole.
My parents together, are extremely controlling and degrading, and I can no longer stay in that toxic environment. I’m now trying to find a safe, steady place to live while staying focused on finishing college. Balancing survival and school is overwhelming, but I’m determined to move forward.
Any kind of support—big or small—means the world to me. I’m no longer keeping this story a secret. My story needs to be brought to light now. Thank you for your time, and please keep me in your prayers as I heal from this painful chapter.
