Help Jady Ferguson on Her Second Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jackie Ferguson, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s deepest hope and love. My daughter, Jady Ferguson, is in urgent need of a second kidney transplant.
Jady received her first kidney transplant in June 2019, after an aggressive autoimmune disease called IgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease) suddenly attacked her kidneys. She received her kidney from a deceased donor before she had to be on dialysis. It was a miracle.
The road hasn’t always been smooth, but Jady was incredibly thankful for the gift of that kidney and lived every day with gratitude.
In December 2024, we received heartbreaking news: Jady’s body was rejecting her transplanted kidney. Her doctors began an aggressive and costly immunosuppressive treatment regimen in an effort to stop the rejection. Sadly, despite their best efforts, her kidney had already become severely scarred and the damage could not be reversed.
Since then, Jady has been battling daily symptoms — extreme fatigue, painful swelling, stomach issues, and dangerously low blood pressure. She has been unable to work since December and now faces the emotional and physical toll of being in end-stage kidney failure once again.
We are now preparing for her second kidney transplant at UCSF Medical Center. She is currently on the transplant list, but her antibody levels are now even higher than they were before her first transplant, which makes finding a match more difficult — and finding the perfect match could be even harder.
In the meantime, Jady is enduring constant medical appointments, lab work, procedures, and medications — all while trying to stay strong and hopeful.
We’re asking for your support to help relieve some of the financial burden of this journey. Every donation helps, and funds raised will go toward:
Transportation to and from Medical visits
Medications not fully covered by insurance
Medical bills and co-pays and monthly insurance premiums
Living expenses while Jady is unable to work
Post-transplant recovery needs
Helping Jady financially will not only ease the stress of mounting medical costs — it will allow her to focus on her health and begin to regain the independence that this disease has taken from her.
Jady is one of the strongest people I know. She is full of life, laughter, and love — and she has so much more living to do.
If you can help in any way — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or even exploring the option of living kidney donation — we would be endlessly grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, kindness, and prayers. Together, we can help give Jady the second chance she so deeply deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Jackie Ferguson and our entire Family
