When I think of Jaden, the game of BASEBALL immediately comes to mind. He eats, sleeps, and breathes baseball!
The most difficult aspect of the pandemic has been his limited access to the game. During the pandemic, when he wasn't navigating virtual school, he was in the backyard throwing baseballs and swinging bats. So, as soon as the team was allowed to play again, Jaden excitedly attended practice and continued to work on his game. His team even won the championship game during these most challenging times.
When his mom told him that he had been chosen to participate in the Perfect Game Classic, that is all he has talked about since that day. The Perfect Game Classic is a unique experience designed to bring together players from across the nation, as well as representatives from international countries. Jaden was exclusively selected. For a little boy who has struggled through the challenges of virtual school and an inopportune broken wrist on his catching hand, this invitation has been an amazing confidence and esteem booster for Jaden.
Unfortunately, all his mom, Kim, has thought about since then is the amount of money it will take to get Jaden to Florida to participate in the Perfect Game Classic.
