This morning, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy when my cousin Tommy, his girlfriend Jade, and their two children lost their home to a devastating house fire. In a matter of moments, everything they owned was destroyed. Tragically, they also lost their two beloved dogs.

By the grace of God, everyone else was able to make it out of the house, but not without injury. Jade was injured and had to be flown to a nearby hospital. She has been admitted and is being held overnight for observation.

They have two small children: Shane Allen, who heartbreakingly turned 3 on the very day of this tragedy, and Ember, who is just 2 years old. These babies have lost their home, their belongings, and the sense of safety every child deserves.

Right now, they are facing the overwhelming reality of starting over with absolutely nothing—no home, no clothes, no furniture, no necessities—while also coping with trauma, loss, and medical expenses.
