Hi dear friends and community members:
Our beloved friend Jade is going through a time of financial hardship after having her car stolen for the SECOND time this past week. Thankfully, it was recovered today but has suffered extensive damage. The license plates were gone and the back window smashed out. As you can imagine, this situation has been incredibly stressful for Jade. We would like to place a call out to the community to help raise funds for Jade to have her car repaired and for a proper security system to prevent future theft.
Jade has been active in the Port Townsend community for years. She has worked with Finnriver, the Jefferson County Anti-Racist Fund (JCARF), and Strait Up Magazine. She started her own burlesque troupe, the Sky Dancers, who have performed locally for years. She has been a strong advocate for the artist community, ensuring and insisting that artists get fairly compensated for their work.
She is a sensitive soul who took in a stray cat in the midst of a stressful move and has always shown incredible kindness to animals. Jade is an amazing friend, artist, and community member. Jade deserves our nourishment and support during this difficult time. Please help us get her car back up and running!
