Hi, I’m Lucy – a neighbour and friend of Jade and Lee. I’m setting up this GoFundMe because they’ve been through an incredibly tough time lately and could really use a helping hand.

Jade recently bought a car, using all her savings, to accommodate her four children and to get Lee to and from his weekly chemotherapy appointments (Rituximab) Unfortunately, the car—sold to her as being in “good condition”—turned out to have a serious gasket issue that eventually caused it to break down completely. This has left the family without transport, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation.

They are now walking to school and relying on lifts each week just to get Lee to his essential hospital treatment, carrying bags of shopping home. While they’ve applied for NHS transport support, they’ve yet to receive any help.

I’m hoping to raise enough to get them a reliable run-around car so they can get back on their feet and, most importantly, make sure Lee gets the care he needs without the added worry of how he’ll get there.
