What is Jade Healing?
Jade was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to her liver and bones in the summer of 2024. When conventional treatment options offered abysmally low odds of success with a 5-year survival rate of less than 7%, she turned to traditional medicine. Starting in August 2024, Jade saw astounding improvements through alternative therapies. Sadly, insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of the treatments and Jade had no choice but to stop treatment when her family’s generous financial contributions were exhausted just a few months later, in December 2024.
In early 2025, Jade experienced multiple spinal fractures and was restricted to bed rest. Scans showed that her condition had worsened with more extensive lesions, and she was admitted to a skilled nursing facility to start rebuilding her strength and mobility. Though it has been an incredibly painful process, Jade is regaining her strength, her bone pain is decreasing, and she was able to come home to her loving husband to continue in-home physical therapy. Given her current condition, it is critical that she secures immediate funding to restart the expensive treatments that have proven successful for her so that she can heal from this once and for all.
Who is Jade?
Jade Makana Stuart is an incredible partner and wife, a loyal and supportive friend, and a blessing to anyone who knows her. She cares deeply for others, reflected by a long history of championing public health initiatives locally and abroad. During her college days, Jade organized and carried out medical aid trips for the underserved from South Texas to Honduras to Ghana. After graduating, she went on to found several small businesses and a non-profit that partnered with the University of Texas to promote health equity and empower disenfranchised communities.
Jade has dedicated her life to making the world more joyful, just, and equitable, generously sharing her time and expertise with anyone who needs it—whenever and however she can. She is an exceptional human who continues to show up for her community, bringing love and compassion to everything she does, despite her challenging medical diagnosis.
How you can help
We are reaching out to raise essential funds to support Jade’s extensive medical care and related expenses. These funds will go directly towards the following:
- Cancer treatments and follow-up care: Relocation for up to six months to receive advanced treatment options at one of three integrative cancer centers in Arizona, including critical maintenance therapies and follow-ups needed to drastically reduce the risk of recurrence.
- Medical equipment and mobility aids: Purchase of durable medical equipment to help with Jade’s current limited mobility and intensive at-home physical therapy.
- Basic living expenses and lost wages: Assistance with basic living expenses and lost wages for Jade and her husband, who is her full-time caregiver providing around-the-clock support.
Jade’s unwavering determination to explore every possible avenue for healing and recovery is a testament to her resilience and fighting spirit, but these treatments are only available if funded out of pocket. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover any of these treatments or related expenses.
