Help Jade Graduate From Howard UniversityY 2022

Hi everyone!

My name is Jade Whaley, a senior media, journalism & film major with a concentration in audio production and an electronic studio art minor from Los Angeles, California studying at the Illustrious Howard University. I come to you all, humbly, in search of serious financial assistance to help me in finishing my last year of college, graduating and receiving my degree!

In May 2022, I intend to graduate from Howard's Cathy Hughes School of Communications with a Bachelor of Arts. For the past 3 years I have been blessed enough through financial aid and outside scholarships to pay for my tuition, however this year due to unexpected and major impromptu expenses instituted by HU such as increased tuition and the institution no longer housing upperclassmen I am unable to financially cover all of my expenses. I have been working tediously to gather funds and to support my education from working up to 3 different jobs at a time such as hosting, administrative work, and delivery work, to picking up various side hustles such as photography and freelance engineering all to help fund my education. I have also applied to countless scholarships, however, this has not come with much success in the past few years. The time has now come for my last year at Howard and I want to be able to graduate with flying colors, but my tuition will need to be covered by the beginning of September, 2021. 

Howard over the past 3 years has been nothing short of life changing for me. Not only have I become a stellar academic scholar with a current GPA of 3.71 and an honors student, making the Dean's List every semester I have also found a community of like-minded individuals and Howard has truly become a home away from home. From being an active member of WHBC 96.3 HD3 to the Athletic Director's Assistant and more, I have been incredibly active on campus and have loved every second of it. Outside of Howard I have also had built a name for myself working for various companies such as Universal Music Group, SiriusXM + Pandora and Bad Robot Production. Spending my last year there is all I have been thinking about this past year and a half since I moved back home due to the pandemic. My education is THE most important thing to me and to not be able to go back to D.C. and to Howard to earn my degree would be absolutely devastating. 

With that said, I vow that the money will solely be used for my education. It has been a dream of mine to graduate from Howard University and with your help I can make this dream a reality.
