Graduating feels like a full-circle moment, and for me, it feels like I’m doing it all over again, but this time with even more purpose.

My name is Jade Rodriguez, and on May 15th, I officially earn my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. As a first-generation college student, this milestone means everything to me and my family. Their constant support, encouragement, and sacrifices have helped me get to this point, and I wouldn’t be here without them.

This journey represents years of hard work, determination, and the goal of creating new opportunities not just for myself, but for those who come after me.

Now, I’m preparing for my next chapter: continuing my education at the University of Chicago to pursue my Master’s in Social Work.

As I step into this new phase, I want to commemorate how far I’ve come by purchasing a class ring, a symbol of everything I’ve overcome and achieved. At the same time, I’m working toward making graduate school financially possible.

This fundraiser will go toward both my class ring and supporting my journey back to school. Every contribution helps me get one step closer to continuing my education and expanding the impact I hope to make in the field of social work.
