Help Jade attend Vogue Summer School in NYC!

Hi Everyone! With lots of excitement I'd like to announce that I've been accepted into Vogue Summer School and I will be attending for term 1 from June 9th-21st! I will be studying Fashion Styling at Vogue with top industry professionals, this is an amazing opportunity for the future of my career and I'm so proud of myself for how hard I worked to get here!

My Styling Journey...

My journey in styling started when I made the decision to audition for Fashion Design at Oakland School for the Arts. After getting accepted into OSA, It took me about a year to solidify the path I wanted to take in the fashion industry. At 15, (my sophomore year) I let my fashion teacher know what path I wanted to take and she made sure that she helped me in every way she could. I curated my first photoshoot that same year and its been a uphill climb ever since. At 16 things started to pick up speed, I started 2023 out strong with the rising popularity in my "Nunyasio Ties". Being an internet kid, I used the resources I had at my fingertips to bridge every connection I had at that time, leading me to sending out custom pieces to some pretty cool artists! Mid 2023 I snagged my first design/styling opportunity for my favorite rappers on tour. It was a major milestone for me that I achieved so much quicker than I anticipated. That was the moment I knew this was truly my path! After that I had some months of downtime before I decided it was time for me to take on NYC. I went on a trip to the big city in October, a few months into being 17. I learned so much on that trip and I'm so glad I decided to go, it prepared me for this exact moment! Now, I've been tackling my own projects, working on my upcoming fashion collection, I shot, styled, and creative directed my first campaign for a brand (woo hoo!), and In a couple months I'll be graduating and turning 18 closing out this chapter of my life and opening up my young-adult hood with.. BAM! VOGUE!

About Vogue Summer School...

"Vogue Summer School invites high school students who are curious and passionate about the world of fashion to experience it first-hand in the heart of New York City—one of the most important fashion capitals in the world. Students will explore a range of topics shaping the industry today and can choose from specialized courses in fashion business, fashion styling, and fashion media. Join like-minded students and fashion enthusiasts from around the world and go behind the scenes to learn about the inner workings of the fashion, media and lifestyle industries with Vogue experts as your guide."

What Expenses Will Go Towards...

The total cost for attendance at Vogue Summer School is $7,220 including housing in a dorm-like facility. After applying to financial aid I was awarded with $3,000 towards my tuition, leaving a remaining balance of $4,220. Unexpectedly, there is a very quick turn around time for my deposit to secure my spot in the program. I owe $1,500 by April 10th in order to be enrolled. The remaining balance of $2,720 is due by May 1st. Following the price of the last plane tickets I bought to NYC I'll need roughly $750, closing out the initial goal of $5,000. Though that is my goal any additional donations over the goal are greatly appreciated for things like food, transportation, and any additional spending or fees, including the fee GoFundMe will take from this fundraiser.
