My name is Gloria (27) i live in the Netherlands and I’m raising funds for my friend Jade (25)

who currently lives with her family on Java, Indonesia, and is fighting stage 4 colon cancer.

Her illness started over a year ago, but the doctors didn’t realize it was cancer until it was too late.

When I visited her in Bali earlier this year, she suffered from severe stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea

We went to the hospital together, where she was told it was appendicitis and immediately had surgery.

Months later, her condition kept getting worse until the real diagnosis came: colon cancer, stage 4.

She now weighs only 34 kg, far too weak to begin chemotherapy.

She’s fighting to regain her strength so she can start treatment soon.

Every day she’s alive truly feels like a miracle of God’s grace.

Jade is more than a friend to me

She made my solo trip in 2023 unforgettable, and I can’t imagine Bali

or life without her. As some of you may know, free healthcare isn’t really available in Indonesia . Most medical care has to be paid out of pocket.

Jade was once the main provider for her family, but now that she’s too sick to work, she has not enough income to cover her treatment.

Chemotherapy in Indonesia costs roughly between €15 000 – €30 000, and my goal is to raise as much money possible so she can begin as soon as possible.
