My name is Jada, and I never imagined I’d be in this position. Recently, my family and I lost everything in a devastating house fire. In a matter of hours, our home and all of our belongings were gone. We are safe, but we’re left with nothing, and it’s hard to put into words how overwhelming it feels to start over from scratch.

Right now, we’re trying to replace the essentials—clothes, toiletries, and basic household items—so we can begin to rebuild our lives. With the holidays approaching, it’s especially heartbreaking to think about our kids missing out on Christmas. We’re hoping to replace some gifts for them and create a sense of normalcy during this difficult time. On top of that, missing work has made things even more challenging, so any extra support will help us cover those lost wages and keep us afloat while we get back on our feet.

I still don’t feel comfortable asking for donations, especially this close to the holidays. Any donation is appreciated more than you’ll ever know and is a blessing.
