Hi everyone,

My name is Jada, and I’ve been given an incredible opportunity this summer — I’ve been accepted into a highly selective summer academic program where I’ll be able to take college-level science courses and deepen my passion for medical research.

Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by science and the world of pathology. That curiosity has grown into a dream of becoming a pathologist — someone who studies diseases and helps doctors understand how to treat them. This summer program will allow me to take advanced courses, including one focused on cancer research, and experience what studying science at the college level is really like.

Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been accepted. However, the program costs include tuition, housing, meals, travel, and course materials — which can be difficult for my family to cover on our own.

I’m raising funds to help make this experience possible. Being able to attend would not only help prepare me for pre-med studies in the future, but it would also allow me to bring the knowledge and inspiration I gain back to my school community and the teams and programs I’m part of.
