Help Jacquie and Kids After Eaton Fire Loss

As the Southern California fires reel through our cities and homes, it can feel daunting asking for help when you know so many others also need it.

One of the greatest lessons my partner ever taught me is to advocate for those who simply need help but are not in a space where they can ask for it.

My partner, Jacquie and her two children lost their home in the Eaton fire. There is nothing left but the clothes on their back and a few necessities.

It is devastating to watch someone you see work so hard lose everything they own. Someone who continues to persist in life no matter the tragedies they face. Not to mention the family home she has brought to life for her children. Their faces, in my mind, so happy on Christmas morning for it to be swept away in a moment's notice. Or, more heartbreakingly, the keepsakes from family that can never be replaced. Words cannot describe the pain and confusion that comes when a disaster hits.

These are some of the most important people in my life. If you have anything to offer, we would feel something beyond gratitude, which is what everyone needs when tragedy strikes.

We are currently in the process of finding clothing that will fit. Basic necessities. All while trying to take deep breaths as our brains switch from one big task to another. Jacquie and the kids are safe at a family members home and is still in a position of potentially being evacuated from that area but are safe for now.
