Hello friends, family, comrades and parents whose children I've cared for. I am looking for support to move to New York City to pursue my dreams as a journalist who reports on grassroot movements.

I plan to attend the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (CUNY) and get my master's in bilingual journalism.

Many of you understand my frustration that has come with not being able to find a good-paying journalism job that aligns with my values and how I have had to jump between nannying and freelancing to pay for life in San Francisco. It really hasn't been easy but I am committed to doing everything in my power to tell stories that highlight the root causes of our oppression and make us feel more connected to each other. I can't do it alone though.
