As many of you know, our beloved Jacquelyn has been courageously battling colon cancer for the past year. Just weeks after her picture-perfect wedding in Mexico, she received the devastating diagnosis and soon underwent an extremely painful surgery.

Since then, Jacquelyn has endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy and months of intensive treatment in Southern California. These treatments have taken a toll—not only physically and emotionally, but financially. She’s been unable to work, and the cost of care has stretched her and her wonderful husband Tim’s resources to the limit.

This week brought another setback. On October 17th, Jacquelyn underwent emergency surgery for a nephrostomy after a swollen lymph node began compressing her kidney. Doctors also discovered that the cancer is still present after chemo, revealing that it is chemo-resistant. She’s now facing urgent treatment to address the metastasis.

In an effort to ease the financial strain, Jacquelyn and Tim are relocating to Texas, where the cost of living is lower. But even with insurance and the move, cancer treatment remains incredibly expensive—and they’re surviving on a single income.
