Please Help Bring Ezra Home
Two months ago, I made the hardest decision of my life: I took my 13-month-old son, Ezra, and left a toxic, unsafe home marked by emotional abuse, substance use, and volatility. As a full-time mom with no income, I did what I had to do to protect my child.
We found peace and healing in Massachusetts—until everything was taken from us. Without warning, Ezra’s father filed an emergency custody motion in Florida, falsely claiming I abducted our son. A judge granted him full custody without a hearing. I wasn’t even allowed to speak. The issue was domesticated here in Massachusetts where again, I was silenced. My son was taken away from me.
Ezra was still breastfeeding. I had been a stay at home mother since he was born. He’s never been apart from me like this. I just know he is confused and wondering where I am.
I had found an attorney in Florida who specializes in wrongful custody cases and believed we can bring Ezra home, but she ended up not realizing the complexities of the case and decided she could not take it and give it proper attention. I have hope in an impossible situation, but still very much need a lawyer and I cannot afford these emergency fees alone.
Please, if you’re able to help—even a little—it means the world to me and Ezra. I’m not seeking revenge. I just want my baby back where he belongs: safe, loved, and in his mother’s arms.
With love and gratitude,
Jacqueline and Family.
