If you know Jacqueline Eldridge, you know she has one of the kindest hearts. She’s a single mom who has always put everyone else first — especially the children she worked with every day. Jacqueline’s passion was helping autistic and developmentally challenged kids find their voice, their confidence, and their joy. But right now, she’s the one who needs our help.

Just before life turned upside down, Jacqueline got her own apartment — a huge step toward stability for her and her baby. Then everything changed. She became critically ill, and doctors have since discovered an autoimmune disease that’s attacking her body. Despite countless tests, hospital stays, and iron transfusions, there are still no clear answers. Her most recent hospitalization lasted a week, filled with uncertainty and fear.

Because of her fragile immune system, Jacqueline had to take a medical leave.

This is an incredibly scary and humbling time for her. No mother should have to choose between her health and keeping a roof over her child’s head. Jacqueline has always been a giver — now it’s our turn to give back.
