Help Jacque Ensign get a stair lift

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jane Johnston. I am Jacque Ensign's oldest daughter. My 90 year old Mom was recently walking in Berkeley and was hit by a car. She is one of the original founders of the Berkeley Path Wanders Association founded in 1998. The original map was made on her dining room table! She has been a strong advocate for staying fit and healthy by walking and for creating safe pathways not only for fitness but for accessibility and emergency evacuation. She was recently honored at the opening of a path named for her, "Jacque Ensign Way". She remembers walking along this path as a little girl to go to the movies on Solano.

The money we are asking for would go towards the purchase of a stairlift. We want her to be able to get in and out of her home when she gets out of the hospital. She has 33 stairs that she has been able to go up and down until this time. A stairlift would allow her to get back into her own home and make it possible for her to get out and walking sooner on her beloved paths when she heals and connecting with the people she loves so much in Berkeley.

Thank you for your kind wishes and support of my Mom. She is so grateful for her community.
