My daughter, Jacola L. Treazurah Youngblood, is a bright and resilient young girl who has always brought joy to our family and her friends in Lumberton, MS. On January 26th, 2026, Jacola had blood work done, and soon after, I received an emergency call that changed our lives. We were told to go to the children’s cancer center in Jackson, Mississippi, where further tests revealed her liver was failing. She underwent multiple blood transfusions and two bone marrow tests. The second test confirmed that Jacola has a rare form of leukemia, a disease that travels through her blood and affects her entire body.

Jacola will begin her chemotherapy treatments on Monday, February 9th, 2026. She is fearful of losing her hair, but she remains in good spirits and continues to inspire those around her with her courage. This diagnosis has devastated our family, but we are grateful for the support of her school and the nurses who helped us discover her illness. Without their help, we might not have known what was happening to her.

As her mother, I am doing everything I can to ensure Jacola receives the care she needs. However, Me and my husband has to get her to her appointments in Jackson, which is two hours away, is a constant challenge. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will help me secure costs expensive while traveling back and forth.
