Jacoby is our newly adopted dog from Doberman Rescue of North Texas. We brought him home just a couple of weeks ago, and he immediately became a beloved part of our family. Despite his happy and loving nature, Jacoby has faced more challenges than any dog should. When we adopted him, we knew he had a shattered hip, but after taking him to our vet for updated X-rays, we learned that both his hip and his left back leg are shattered. It’s heartbreaking to think that he may have suffered such a severe injury as a puppy, possibly from being kicked. What amazes us every day is Jacoby’s resilience—he still manages to walk and even run, despite the extent of his injuries.

Our vet has told us that the only option for Jacoby is to attempt a surgery to clean out the scar tissue and debris in hopes of regaining nerve function. If we wait too long, amputation will be the only option left. We want to give Jacoby every chance to live his best life, full of running and playing, just like any happy pup deserves. The funds we raise will go directly toward his surgery, post-surgery care, and anything else he needs to recover and thrive.
