March 15, 1976 - July 14, 2023 Jacob Wallace Garhart, a cherished father, beloved son, sibling, coach, and friend, has left us all too soon. A man of strong will, kind heart, and generous spirit, he will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Born on March 15, 1976, Jacob grew up in a close-knit town of Castle Rock, WA, the son of Wallace and Jane Garhart, He was the prom King of Castle Rock 1994. After his graduation he married the Prom Queen, his Highschool sweetheart Dawn Garhart and together they had Jordan, Jacob’s only son. Though they divorced young Jacob never remarried. He forged a lasting bond with those around him, and his memory will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the countless people touched by his warmth and compassion. Jacob was a US Army veteran and discovered his passion for sports early in life. His dedication to his community was evident as he founded several sports teams, all known as the Ringers. He coached youth baseball, basketball and soccer and imparted to the next generation lessons of perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. These accomplishments showed the depth of his caring spirit and his desire to make a positive impact on those around him. Jacob's role as a father was the most important part of his life. He nurtured and encouraged his son, Jordan , in every pursuit, and the bond they shared will continue to be a source of love and strength in the years to come. Beyond his military service, fatherhood and coaching, Jacob had a wide range of passions. An aficionado of happy hours, Jacob had a natural talent for discovering the best local spots and spreading joy among friends. Known for his trunk PBR distribution skills, Jacob's generous spirit made any gathering more memorable.  A true adventurer, Jacob was a road trip warrior, always seeking new experiences and embracing the journey. A natural explorer and planking prodigy, he embraced this love by conquering numerous mountain summits and immersing himself in the thrill of hiking. Jacob also held the title of an unofficial ambassador of PDX, where his enthusiasm contributed to a vibrant, welcoming community. Above all, Jacob will be remembered as a beacon of kindness, helpfulness, and encouragement. He was always willing to lend a hand and be there for those who needed him and spread his joy of healthy living with friends, leaving behind a legacy that shall continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. Jacob is Surived by his mother Jane Garhart and sister Melissa Garhart both of kelso, son Jordan Garhart of Olympia, brothers Joe Garhart and Terry Garhart both of Longview. Jacob was proceeded in death by beloved sister Laura Garhart and father Wallace Garhart. A funeral service commemorating Jacob's life will be held on August 11th at 2 pm at green hill crematory 1939 Mt Brynion Rd, Kelso, WA 98626 for the service followed by the burial at Whittle and Hubbard Cemetery 315 Cemetery Rd, Castle Rock, WA 98611 We invite everyone whose lives have been touched by Jacob to come together and pay tribute to the incredible man that he was.  In loving memory of Jacob Wallace Garhart — Rest in peace, dear Jake, PDX Jake, JW, Jae, J.
