Hello, I'm Pit (or Jacob, when I'm not hanging out with my friends online.)

A close friend of mine has been dealing with not feeling safe in her home country or even her own home due to her identity, and wishes to seek Asylum in Canada.

Because no genuine fundraising service we could find is supported in Indonesia, me and a few of her friends decided to set this up and send the money to her once the goal is met. The purpose of the funds will be to buy her a plain ticket, a laptop to search for work, while the remaining money will go towards ensuring she's able to afford an apartment, groceries and bills in the meanwhile.

Her mother is aware of her intentions and not only has refused to help her but has actively tried to guilt and control her into not leaving.

UPDATE: The first couple of donations have come in, my friend's still looking into getting a passport and has a few leads but is wanting to make sure she doesn't get scammed.
