Unfortunately, the Jacobs family lost their entire house to a fire earlier this week. It's predicted to take about 1-2 years for them to get back on their feet in terms of getting the house repaired but in the meantime they have to stay in hotels and Air Bnbs. 21 year old Maiah has been on the path to obtaining a college degree while making impacts in her local community of Oakland through expressing herself with music and pursuing a career, but this tragedy has put a halt to it all.
