My son, Jacob, was in a serious motorcycle accident on July 27th. Thankfully, he was wearing a helmet. Jacob sustained numerous fractures and a lot of road rash (burns) to his arms. The health insurance coverage is limited, and the deductibles, co-pays, and costs are mounting. On top of that issue, his insurance company for the motorcycle coverage is not covering any of the damages to his bike because they forgot to include collision coverage on the policy for his "full coverage" policy.

Jacob, a combat veteran, and his wife, Mallory, had just moved to Alabama recently with their 6-month-old son, Dean. Mallory is a kindergarten teacher in the area where they reside. Jacob is a stay-at-home father, so they make it on one income.
