Last week one of my best friends Jacob Sandoval got in a serious car accident. To meet the increasingly stressful demands in this chapter of his life, Jacob has been working two jobs with 0 days off for the last several months to achieve his dreams of owning and living in his own vehicle.

Jacob is a truly amazing human. He has inspired the direction of my life in many ways. His humor and love for music breaks through the ice of so many situations that would otherwise be boring and fake in how folks choose to relate to one another. Jacob's love for medicinal herbs and using nature as a tool to inspire, heal, and create something new in people is truly a rare thing.

Many people would have given up or made excuses about the work that's involved, but Jacob has truly been stepping up to be a responsible individual. He sustained a mild concussion from the accident and is still choosing to work two jobs to pay off his debts. This is kind of insane and courageous of Jacob to continue forward in the midst of some setbacks that were not under his control.

I have really not heard Jacob complain or be overly negative about the situation itself. He has really jumped into a difficult situation with a full heart and is ready to adapt in whatever ways he needs to make his dreams come true. This takes a lot of courage when he cannot control the outcome.

This payment would allow Jacob to pay off his bills, so that he could be launched into the world in a new way. It would also provide some extra funds to help throw a celebration that could be used to take some of Jacob's business and community ideas to the next level of existing in the world.

Jacob cares deeply about bringing healing to the BIPOC community and people who have been pushed to the margins of our society. I know that the vision that he creates from the healing work he has done is going to be something that I personally am going to want to follow as part of my own path for healing.

While Jacob's mission and values are clear. The art, the magical food, the healing potions, the music, and care that Jacob puts into this celebration is something everyone can enjoy. They are universal gifts of living from one's heart and one's dreams.

I feel strongly that supporting Jacob is a reflection of how we believe and invest in the future of caring for one another. In a nurturing, active, and responsive way to a need that is arising inside and between us. I believe that the energy that comes from this success story will be a big symbol and guiding light in uncertain times of how a dedicated individual can work hard and achieve their dreams when a group of people believe in them. I want this story to be part of the legacy that we share together. I hope you'll join me in making this a reality.
