Help Jacob Overcome His Tragic Loss & Journey to Recovery

Our beloved family and friends,

As many of you know, there was an accident on Friday 6/28/24 on Pinal Ave in CG. My tio Luis and my cousin Jacob were involved in this accident.

It is with a heavy heart to share that Luis "Black" Villegas is no longer with us, may he Rest in Peace. It is believed Luis suffered a seizure while driving causing him to lose control of the vehicle, colliding head on and dying on impact.

Thankfully, Jacob is alive and well. He has sustained life threatening injuries and has been transported to Desert Banner where he will be hospitalized for approx. 4-6 weeks. Jacob is in a stable condition and aware of the situation . Jacob has undergone a couple surgeries such as two abdominal surgeries, and will undergo spinal surgery this week and again in a couple weeks. Jacob is expected to use a back brace for awhile and will need physical therapy to help him relearn to walk. It is expected to take him a year to fully recover!

Jacob is 15 years old and is a student at Casa Grande Union. Jacob is the walking definition of cool, calm and collected. lol He enjoys horror movies, has a great sense of humor and is creative and talented with his drawings. Jacob and Luis were more than father and son, they were the best of friends. They enjoyed spending time together and would always show up together to all family events. The loss of Luis is an adjustment for the entire family but MOSTLY for Jacob. Please join us in supporting Jacob during this difficult time.
