My brother, Jacob Nordquist, contracted Covid-19 after a meeting with relatives. He spent a week battling the virus from home until he was admitted to  Essentia Hospital in Fargo on October 15 for low oxygen levels due to covid pneumonia. In only two days, his illness progressed so severely that he needed to be intubated. 

Jacob is currently in a coma while on the ventilator. His wife and 8 year old son are also currently fighting off the virus at home. They had been working from home, their son was doing online schooling, and they avoided entering indoor public places to avoid this virus as they watched another family member deal with the ventilator for 3 weeks (me, actually!). Jacob only went to the family meeting as his father passed away in August and Jacob agreed to take his place as representative. No one at the meeting was aware that they had contracted the virus and one exposure was all it took to get him infected.

This GoFundMe is to help cover Jacob's medical bills and any other bills that they may need help with while Jacob is intubated and the following months of recuperation required after a prolonged ventilator stay.
