Help Jacob Knox Navigate This Difficult Time

Let me introduce ourselves. We are Steve (Beav) and Julie Sloan, childhood friends of Rob Knox and family. We asked the family how we could help them get through this difficult time. We were told of the efforts Jacob Knox (Rob’s son) is taking to honor his father. We decided the best way to help was reaching out to those who have asked how they too can help.

For those who do not know, Jacob is an only child of Rob’s and was the apple of Rob’s eye. To say that Jacob is devastated but has also stepped up to the plate to honor his father without questioning those duties is an understatement. Rob’s death was so unexpected. Because of this, there weren’t many plans in place. Navigating this has been difficult and costly. Every decision made requires money up front to just get things started.

Jake has blown the family away by how he has thrown himself into this newfound role of taking care not only of his dad’s home, financial affairs, and all arrangements but all that comes with this overwhelming task. Rob would be so very proud of Jacob. I cannot imagine one of our kids at the age of only 22 having to shoulder all of this on their own without siblings to help carry the duties. He has the loving emotional support of his family but could use financial support to get everything taken care of. Every bit of this fundraiser will go directly to Jacob.
