Jacob Jones was severely injured in a car accident that left him with a shattered pelvis, knee, broken femur, ribs, shin, and foot. Jacob was medically evacuated to CMC Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where his torso was cut open to locate and stop the internal bleeding which caused his abdomen to swell. His spleen was removed as a result of the damage inflicted in the impact of the crash. It is yet to be determined whether 21-year-old Jacob will be able to keep his right leg as medical staff had considered amputation upon arrival.

His whole life, Jacob has been a physically hard-working individual with character and integrity. Jacob has always been a fierce friend and never said no when asked to lend a hand. The injuries he has endured leave him unable to work; and to a young man like Jacob, this is devastating.
