Help Jacob:ICU and Medical Expenses From Bike Accident

My name is Karen Warner and on October 22,2024 my son Jacob was riding his bike on 209 in Brodheadsville by Dollar General when he was struck by a vehicle. He was flown by Mercy Flight to St Lukes where he is currently in the ICU. Jacob had surgery tonight to repair his head and face wounds. During surgery they discovered that the wound went clear to the bone so he may have nerve damage to that side. They had to repair his eyelids and they will be having an eye specialist come in to see if there is any damage to the eye. They are monitoring his brain to make sure he does not have a brain injury and will be doing another scan tomorrow. They also had to repair a large wound on his shoulder. Jacob has multiple cuts and abrasions. He is on a ventillator and they are keeping him heavily sedated. He is only awake for moments at a time. Jacob may have to go to rehab when he gets out of the ICU but at this time we have no idea how long he will be in ICU. Jacob has a long hard road ahead of him. Jacob is a hard worker and has been working at Crystals in Brodheadsville for a long time but he will not be able to work for awhile. Unfortunately he does not have any medical insurance either. Our family is so grateful to all the community for all the prayers and well wishes. Any generosity would be greatly appreciated but if that is not possible PLEASE just share this as often as you can.
