Help Jacob Heal: A Journey of Hope and Faith

Donation protected
Jacob Montgomery was in a horrific car accident on his way to work on Tuesday, August 13th. He was critically injured and flown to Chandler U.K. Medical Center.

Due to the severity and multitude of injuries he sustained, he suffered severe blood loss and received nine units of blood on arrival. He suffers from multiple facial fractures, including his forehead, nose, sinus, jaws, and temporal bones. He has multiple broken ribs, a left pneumothorax (collapsed lung), fractures in his right pelvis, arm, tibia, fibula, and femur. There is fluid surrounding his bowels, a laceration to his spleen, and minor damage to his kidneys. He has a suspected brain injury that is believed to be less severe due to his positive progression shown by following commands and some verbal communication. There is also concern that he may be deaf in his right ear and could have right-side facial paralysis.

Jake has a long journey ahead. He has successfully undergone two surgeries where his surgeons and surgical team were able to repair his fractured arm and begin repairing his right leg. Unfortunately, due to the extent of trauma to his leg, he faces several additional surgeries in the hope of regaining mobility. Next week, they also anticipate the start of facial surgery. We expect Jake’s recovery to be a long process, with numerous surgeries ahead, and once he has stabilized, we know his journey will continue with rehabilitation. We are holding onto hope and trusting in the power of faith to see him through this difficult time.

I am reaching out to the community to ask for continued support and prayers for him and his family. Jacob and his wife, Lindsey Arnett Montgomery, welcomed their daughter, Nixon, in May of this year. Jacob is a doting father, devoted husband, son, uncle, and friend whose heart is as big as his smile and whose positive energy is contagious. Jacob is a man of strong faith and is surrounded by a supportive family and friends who believe, with continued support and prayers, that his recovery is possible.

We have started this GoFundMe page for those who wish to help in a tangible way and help lessen the financial burden that Jacob and his wife will surely face on his road to recovery. All funds will go directly to Jacob and his family to assist with medical and living expenses during this difficult time.
