On Monday May 29, 2017, one of our sons, Jacob, age 26 and a father of 4 little ones was rushed to the hospital with chest pains and pains radiating down his arm. After multiple tests....an X-ray, an EKG and an echocardiogram plus blood work they discovered he had elevated enzyme levels, an indication of a possible heart attack. They discharged him with instructions to follow up this week with a cardiologist. Today Tuesday May 30, 2017 he woke up to more excruciating chest pains and was taken back into the hospital. They started with more blood work, another EKG, a CT scan followed by an angiogram looking for a possible blockage. The results of the angiogram showed no blockage of the heart but diagnosed him with myocarditis a viral infection of the heart which can be life threatening. Jacob doesn't have health insurance and he is the sole income for his family. He will be unable to work while his heart heals. Any help would be greatly appreciated to help this young family.
