Hello, my name is Becky Smith and I'm trying to raise money to get my son Jacob a special needs bike that he can ride. Jacob is a 9-year-old little boy who was born with Spina Bifida. He has been asking me for a bike for a long time, and I just can't afford it on my own. Everything is so expensive for special needs kids. Being a single mother and doing everything on my own, I just can't get it. Jacob has been through a lot in his little 9 years of being here. He lost his father when he was 3, then at age 6, he got a brain infection. He recovered from that and ended up having several other surgeries and health issues that we are still dealing with. But to know Jacob, you would never know the daily struggles he has. He's the happiest kid I know and loves everyone. He loves playing sports and is a huge football fan. This bike would give him so much more freedom to explore and be able to keep up with his friends. I never ask anyone for help with anything, but this time I am! I just want to make him happy and be able to enjoy outside riding a bike like other 9-year-old kids. If you can help, I would be so grateful.
