Help Jacob Fix the Pool for a Safe Summer

Hi, my name's Jacob. I am 15. My dad and mom, unfortunately, this year couldn't open our pool due to him struggling with money right now. We usually open the pool every year, but because of them struggling with money and the filter for our pool being broken, he is unable to afford it. All I am asking for is $1,000 to fix the filter.

The pool is more than just a pool; it is my sanctuary in the summertime. It's a way for me to step away from technology and step outside and touch nature. But it's not just for me, but for all my friends too. You see, where we live is not the nicest of neighborhoods, with people stealing anything, including food that costs $13. The public pools here are not the safest, with so much contamination and people throwing food. One time, my sister was swimming and she saw a pad with blood floating across the pool.

My friends, who don't feel safe going to a public pool, have a safer alternative of going to my pool. A pool doesn't just benefit me; it benefits everybody. It's a safe place for everyone, especially during this heat in the summertime. It's a place to cool down.

My 2 year old baby cousin would benefit from this as well. The pool would provide a calm, safe sanctuary for her to learn swimming which is an important skill to have throughout life. I want her to learn just like I did when I was a kid, I still remember the first taste of chlorine.

I want to surprise my dad to show him that when he needs help I can be there for him even though I don't need to.
