Help Jacob Find Safety and Healing After a Heartbreaking Loss
This past Mother’s Day, our friend and coworker at Stonehouse Grill, Jacob experienced a devastating tragedy—he lost his partner, Dave, to suicide. Jacob was the one who found him. The emotional toll of that moment is impossible to put into words, and the grief and trauma he carries is deep and ongoing.
Jacob truly has one of the sweetest souls, and it is heartbreaking to witness this pain that no one should ever have to endure. His strength in this situation shows just how much love he has in his heart. He deserves so much better than what he has gone through in his life, and we’d like him to know that he has our support, no matter what.
Jacob was the brightest part of Dave’s life—a constant source of love, comfort, and light during dark times.
In the wake of this loss, Jacob is not only mourning the love of his life, he’s also stuck in a toxic and emotionally unsafe environment that’s making it impossible for him to begin to heal.
He urgently needs a place of his own—somewhere he can breathe, grieve, heal, and simply be without fear or pain. Right now, he also has no transportation; his car is in disrepair and he has no reliable way to get to work or access basic needs.
We’re raising funds to help Jacob find immediate housing and get his car fixed so he can begin rebuilding his life with even a shred of stability. He shouldn’t have to claw his way out of trauma alone.
If you can contribute, please do. If not, sharing this means the world. Let’s give Jacob the safety, space, and support he needs to move forward with even a little peace.
Thank you so much for helping our friend who’s deeply valued by our community at Stonehouse.
